We teach that the Bible is inspired in all parts by the Holy Spirit and is God's revelation to man. It is inerrant in its original form and infallible (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21). There is only one true meaning of scripture which can be reached using literal, grammatical-historical interpretation. We teach that the Scriptures are the only rule of faith and practice in the New Testament church today (Matthew 5:18, John 10:35, 1 Corinthians 2:13,2 Timothy 3:15) When man's beliefs stand in contradiction to the Bible the Scriptures are always correct and man is in error.
God
We teach that there is only one true and living God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 45:5-7, 1 Corinthians 8:4). He is perfect in all his attributes and is eternally existing in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14). He is: omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, holy, self existent, patient, merciful, and gracious. He alone deserves all our worship and praise.
God the Father
We teach that God the Father is the first person of the Godhead. He is the creator of all things and the sovereign ruler of the universe (Genesis 1:1-31; Ephesians 3:9). He is actively involved in His creation by directing and governing all creatures and events (1 Chronicles 29:11).. God is not the author of sin or evil nor does He tempt any man (Habakkuk 1:13, James 1:13). He chose before He created the world to provide a way of salvation for all men through Jesus Christ (Revelation 13:8, Ephesians 1:4-5). In the present age He redeems and cleanses from sin whoever will come to Him through Jesus Christ. At the moment of conversion He adopts those who believe into His family making them joint heirs with Jesus Christ and gives to them the Holy Spirit whereby each believer is able to cry out to God as their Father (John 1:12, Romans 8:15-17, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 4:5-6).
God the Son
We teach that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is eternal and is coequal with God the Father (John 1:1, John 1:14, John 10:30, Colossians 2:9, Philippians 2:6). Jesus was the Fathers agent in creation (John 1:3, Colossians 1:15-17, Hebrews 1:2). He was born of the virgin Mary just as the prophets had predicted (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23-25, Luke 1:26-35).In the incarnation Jesus took upon himself flesh and blood becoming 100% man but he did not surrender His deity at the same time he remained 100% God (Philippians 1:5-8, Colossians 2:9).
We teach that the purpose of Jesus coming was to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10). He accomplished the will of the Father of redeeming man through His shed blood on the cross of Calvary (Hebrews 9:22, John 19:30, 1 Peter 2:24)
We teach that the Christian faith is founded on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. A belief in the bodily resurrection of Jesus is essential to saving faith (Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:17). The Resurrection verifies His deity and acceptance of His work on the cross. His bodily resurrection also gives those of us who believe a future hope of our bodily resurrection (John 5:26-29, Romans 1:4, Romans 6:5-10, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23).
We teach in the return of Jesus Christ to the earth to receive the church at which time the dead in Christ will rise and we who are still alive will be changed to meet the Lord in the air. (I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Acts 1:11, Revelation 22:12). It is through Jesus that believers will be rewarded for their works and the unbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne (John 5:22, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 22:12) .
God the Holy Spirit
We teach that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. He is coequal with the Father and the Son. He possess all the attributes of deity and personality. He is omnipresent, he has omniscience, he is, omnipotent, and eternal. (1 Corinthians 2:10-13, Ephesians 4:30, 1 Corinthians 12:11, Hebrews 9:14, Psalms 139:7-10, Matthew 28:19, Acts 5:3-4, 1 Corinthians 12:4-5 Hebrews 10:15-18).
We teach that the Holy Spirit was active in creation (Genesis 1:2), in the virgin birth of Jesus (Matthew 1:18), in the writing of Scriptures (2 Peter 1:20-21), in the work of salvation (John 3:5-7). He is also active in comforting the saints and leading us into all truth (John 16:13, John 15:26). Upon a person putting their faith in Jesus the Holy Spirit baptizes them into the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). He indwells believers and seals them until the day of redemption at the moment of their conversion (Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13 1 John 2”20-27).
We teach that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to the church which are used to edify the body of Christ and the perfecting of the saints. We teach that the gift of diverse tongues and sign miracles were to authentic the message of the Apostles but are not needed today due to the completion of the Word of God. ( Ephesians :4:7-12, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 1 Corinthians 13:8-13). We teach that evidence of the Holy Spirit indwelling a person is: love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Galatians 5:22).
Man
We teach that man was created by God free of sin in Gods image and likeness (Genesis 2:7). Because of Adams sin in the garden man lost his innocence and became subject to the wrath of God which is the penalty of spiritual and physical death. Adams sin has been passed down to all generations with Jesus being the only exception. As a result, all mankind is lost and has no power to redeem himself outside of God's grace found in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-19; John 3:36; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Ephesians 2:1-13; 1 Timothy 2:13-14; 1 John 1:8; Romans 3:9-18, 23; 5:10-12).
Salvation
We teach that salvation is a work of God based completely on grace made possible by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is not, nor has it ever been based on human merit or works (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:3, Ephesians1:7).
Justification
We teach that man is justified (made as though he has never sinned) and declared righteous by the work of God. This takes place the moment a person places their faith in Jesus Christ, repents of their sins and confesses Him as Lord and Savior. Justification is made possible because our sins were placed on Jesus and when we believe His righteousness is imputed to us. (Romans 8:33, Luke 13:3, Acts 2:38; 3:19; 11:18; Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 7:10, Romans 10:9-10 1 Corinthians 12:3, Philippians 2:22, Romans 3:20; 4:6, Colossians 2:14, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Corinthians 1:30, 2 Corinthians 5:21).
Sanctification
We teach that ever person who puts their faith and trust in Jesus Christ is sanctified by God, made holy and declared to be saint. (Hebrews 10:10, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Hebrews 2:11, 1 Corinthians 1:2).
Security
We teach that everyone who is saved is also kept saved by the power of God and is secure in Christ forever (John 5:24; 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 5:9-10; 8:1, 1 Corinthians 1:4-8, Ephesians 4:30, Hebrews 7:25, 1 Peter 1:5, Jude 24). Believers should rejoice in their assurance of salvation but never use their liberty as an occasion to sin.
The Church
We teach that the church was established by Jesus Christ and began on the day of Pentecost and will be completed at the time of the rapture. (Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:1-21, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Everyone who places their faith in Jesus Christ is immediately made a part of the spiritual body of Christ which is the Church. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
We teach that the establishment of local churches is taught in the Scriptures and it is a place for the members of the spiritual body of Christ to assemble themselves together for worship, edification, and fellowship. (Acts 14:23, 27; 20:17, 28; Galatians 1:2, Philippians 1:1; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:1, 1 Corinthians 11:18-20, Hebrews 10:25).
We teach that Jesus Christ is the head of His Church (1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 1:22; Colossians 1:18). The official officers of the church as defined in Scripture are elders and deacons, both of whom serve under Christ and must meet biblical qualifications (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 4:11, 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-5).
We teach that each local church is to be free from any higher organizational authority or control. The local congregation is to have the right of self-government with the elders determining all spiritual matters of membership, policy and discipline. We teach that the local church should have fellowship with other Bible teaching churches for the purpose of furthering the Gospel message. (Titus 1:5, Acts 15:19-31; 20:28; 1 Corinthians 5:4-7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1-4).
We teach that the local church is help meet the needs of the household of faith and support the work of missionaries (Galatians 6:10,.Acts 4:35, Philippians 4:15) On the first day of each week the believers are to give their offerings to the local church to make this work possible (1 Corinthians 16:2). The New Testament does not mandate a percentage or amount to be given each week, it is to be a personal decision based on the ability to give and is to be given from the heart. (2 Corinthians 9:7).
We teach that the local church has two ordinances that we are commanded to observe: baptism and the Lord's Supper (Acts 2:38-42). Baptism by immersion is the identification of a believer with the body of Christ (Acts 2:41-42, Acts 8:36-39). It is also the testimony of a believer identifying with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:1-11).
We teach that the Lord Supper is to be observed on the first day of the week as the church gathers together for the purpose of remembering the death of Jesus until He comes again (Acts 2:42-46, 1 Corinthians 11:26) The Lords table is open to all who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and each person is to examine themselves before they eat the bread or drink the cup (1 Corinthians 11:23-28). We teach that the elements used in the Lord Supper only represent his body and his blood and are not his actual flesh and blood, at the same time participation in the Lords Supper is actual communion with Christ (1 Corinthians 10:16).
Angels
We teach that Angels were created by God for the purpose of serving Him and worshiping Him. Since they are created they are not to be worshiped by man (Luke 2:9-14; Hebrews 1:6-7, 14; 2:6-7; Revelation 5:11-14; 19:10; 22:9).
Fallen Angels
We teach that Satan is a created angel who rebelled against God and he is the author of sin. In his rebellion he led several angels astray and was judged by God (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19, Matthew 25:41; Revelation 12:1-14). He brought sin into the human race in the Garden of Eden through the temptation of Eve (Genesis 3:1-15). Satan was defeated at the cross and one day will be eternally punished in the lake of fire (Romans 16:20, Isaiah 14:12-17,Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:10).
Last Things
Death- We teach that immediately upon physical death the soul of the person who is saved goes instantly to be with Jesus (Luke 23:43; Philippians 1:23; 2 Corinthians 5:8). There is a separation of the body and the soul unto the time of the rapture at which time the soul and body will be reunited (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Philippians 3:21; 1 Corinthians 15:35-44, 50-54). We teach that there will be resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved. The saved will be resurrected to eternal life and the unsaved to everlasting punishment. (John 6:39, Romans 8:10-11, 2 Corinthians 4:14, Daniel 12:2, John 5:29, Revelation 20:13-15).
The Rapture of the Church- We teach in the bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take his church from the earth before the tribulation period (1 Thessalonians 4:16, Titus 2:13, John 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-5:11).
The Tribulation Period- We teach that immediately following the rapture of the church that God will pour out Hisrighteous judgment upon the unbelieving world (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Daniel 9:27, 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12, Revelation 16). At the end of this seven year period of time Christ will return to the earth in great glory and power (Matthew 24:27-31, 25:31-46, 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12).
The Second Coming and the Millennial Reign- We teach that following the tribulation period Christ will return to earth and rule and reign from the throne of David for 1000 years with the saints. His reign will begin with the overthrowing of the Antichrist and the False prophet and the removal of Satan from the world. (Matthew 25:31, Luke 1:31-33, Acts 1:10-11; 2:29-30, Revelation 20:1-7, Daniel 7:17-27).
The Judgment of the Lost- We teach that following the 1000 year reign of Christ Satan will be released for a season and will be allowed to deceive the nations of the earth (Revelation 20:7). He will gather his armies together to battle against the saints at which time Satan and his armies will be destroyed by fire from heaven (Revelation 20:9). After this battle Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone (Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:10). After Satan is thrown into the lake of fire Christ will resurrect and judge all unbelievers great and small at the Great White Throne Judgment. Upon their judgment they will be cast into the lake of fire where they will remain for eternity in a conscious state (Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:11-15).
Eternity- We teach that after the reign of Christ on earth and the judgment of unbelievers that the saved will enter the eternal state of glory with God and the earth will be destroyed and replaced with a new earth. (2 Peter 3:10, Ephesians 5:5; Revelation 20:15; 21:1-27; 22:1-21). Following the creation of the new earth the Holy city will come down from heaven and will be where the saint will be with God and with one another for ever (John 17:3, Revelation 21-22)
